Tiger Woods decided to abandon the Augusta Masters without waiting for its conclusion, after seeing that the limp in his right leg worsen over the weekend.
The five-time winner of the green jacket suffered a lot on Saturday afternoon, during what could be played of the third day, and accumulated six under par after seven holes, after two consecutive double bogeys, something that had not happened in the previous 1,735 holes he had played at Augusta National.
Woods has already confessed that due to the car accident he suffered in Los Angeles in February 2021 that almost cost him the amputation of his right leg he only wants to play as many majors as possible each season.
The Genesis Invitational, won by Jon Rahm two months ago, is the tournament Tiger is pushing for and he wants to focus on his family and the sporting tutelage of his son Charlie.
