WILMINGTON – FEBRUARY 11 – On Mental Health Awareness Night, the Delaware “Purple” Coats toppled the Wisconsin Herd, 166-139 at Chase Fieldhouse. The win pushes Delaware to 12-5 in the regular season.
Mac McClung led Delaware, dropping 35 points on 11-14 shooting from the field and 7-8 from three-point range, adding nine assists. 76ers assignee Jaden Springer poured in 30 points on 12-16 from the field while tallying six rebounds and two steals.
Rounding out the starting five was Louis King with 14 points and eight assists, Michael Foster Jr. with 14 points and six rebounds, and Julian Champagnie with 11 points and two blocks. Off the bench, Braxton Key scored 16, Charlie Brown Jr. scored 14, and the duo of Justin Smith and Aminu Mohammed scored ten points each. Delaware’s 166 points surpassed the previous single-game mark for the franchise (156).
For the Herd, Paris Bass dropped 50 points and 11 rebounds. Lindell Wiggington scored 23 with six assists, and Elijah Hughes came off the bench and scored 20, hitting four three-pointers.
The Purple Coats took a 10-point advantage into halftime, and they put it away in the third quarter with a 12-0 run that put them up 23.

The team is back in action at home next week when they host the College Park Skyhawks on Monday, Feb. 13 at Chase Fieldhouse. The game is set to tip off at 7:00 p.m.
