NORTH CHARLESTON — Nine people, including six school children, are injured after a collision between a school bus and another vehicle on Patriot Boulevard.
The North Charleston Police Department shared a post on X at 8:36 a.m. saying Patriot Boulevard at Appian Way heading toward Ashley Phosphate Road was shut down due to the collision.

Police spokesperson Harve Jacobs said that the department’s traffic unit is investigating the crash. He confirmed that the driver and two passengers in the vehicle that collided with the bus were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Andy Pruitt, the spokesperson for the Charleston County School District, said there were 41 students on board the bus, which was headed for R.B. Stall High School. He said that six students were transported by emergency medical personnel to a local hospital.
