INDIANAPOLIS — Ready to make some extra cash? Indy Parks has announced that there are up to 400 summer jobs available at parks across the city.
According to the Indy Parks press release, positions available include:
- Lifeguards
- Pool Managers
- Camp Counselors
- Food Program Positions
- Cashiers
- Park Inspectors
- Other Jobs as Available
“Indy Parks has so many opportunities available to our young people looking to spend their summers in the sun,” said Mayor Joe Hogsett.
“A job at one of our city’s many parks also promises to equip them with the skills and work experience they will need to forge a path of success. And, most importantly, young people will learn firsthand the value of working for the direct benefit and betterment of their community.”

Positions for Lifeguards will start at $15 per hour, Pool Managers will start at $16.50 per hour, and Camp Counselors will start at $14 per hour. A sign-on bonus of $500 is will be available until April 4.
“Indy Parks summer staff are crucial to our mission of providing enriching experiences for all,” said Indy Parks Director Phyllis Boyd.
Indy Parks will also host a job fair for all seasonal positions at the following dates and locations:
- Christian Park at 4200 English Avenue: March 24 – March 27 daily from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Thatcher Park at 4649 W Vermont St: April 5 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
“Summer jobs at Indy Parks offer young people a chance to gain valuable work experience while making a real difference in our community,” said City-County Council Parks Committee Chair Crista Carlino.
“Whether as lifeguards, camp counselors, or cashiers, these positions provide essential services that help keep our parks vibrant, safe, and accessible for all residents. I encourage anyone looking for a rewarding summer job to apply and be part of something meaningful.”
Indy Parks are recommending individuals be at least 16 years old, some positions require applicants to be 18 years old.
