Jokingly referred to as the T-Shirt Company during the launch of AEW in 2019, the company has gone on to become so much more than that. From filling Arthur Ashe Stadium in 2021 with 20,000+ fans, to selling out The United Center, to creating a true alternative wrestling product for fans, AEW has surpassed many fans’ expectations.
Speaking about T-Shirts however, the company has been praised by many for featuring some great designs. While wrestling merchandise can sometimes come off as cringey, or poorly designed, these are 10 of the best T-Shirt Designs in AEW history.
10 Daniel Garcia – Dragon Slayer
Arriving on the scene in AEW during 2021, Daniel Garcia would be brought in as one of the bright new prospects for the company, facing off against some of the biggest names in AEW in singles action, including CM Punk & Jon Moxley. By early 2022, Garcia would be signed to the company and would begin his journey up the roster, joining the Jericho Appreciation Society and later feuding with Bryan Danielson.
During his program with Danielson, Garcia would manage to defeat the American Dragon in shocking fashion. From there, Garcia would dub himself as The Dragon Slayer, with this new T-Shirt debuting in great fashion to match his new moniker.
9 Danhausen – Comic Book
Another new addition to the AEW roster in 2022 would be none other than comedic wrestler, Danhausen. Since becoming All Elite, Danhausen has remained an extremely over act with the audience despite rarely wrestling. With his unique look and presence, Danhausen has become somewhat of a staple with the company, though he is currently on the shelf with an injury following AEW Revolution 2023.
Looking at AEW’s massive T-Shirt catalog, Danhausen has a number of shirts that could be considered some of the best in the company, though it is this comic book design that has to take the cake as one of the nicest designs around, while sticking true to the Danhausen brand.
8 Ricky Starks – Orange Absolute
One of the breakout stars in AEW from its Pandemic Era would be none other than Ricky Starks. Taking Cody Rhodes’ TNT Open Challenge, Starks would arrive on the scene after wrestling in NWA. Joining All Elite Wrestling, Ricky would slowly get over on his own as one of the biggest fan favorite names in the company.
This design is a bit of a basic one, but it stands out from the pack as feeling like a shirt that doesn’t even feel like a wrestling shirt. For those looking for a T-Shirt that can be worn outside of wrestling venues, this is a great option.
7 Hangman Page – Bloody Cowboy Club
Arguably the fan favorite wrestler in AEW, Hangman Page’s arc since the debut of AEW with Double or Nothing 2019 has been captivating to watch for most wrestling fans. From struggling to break out, to teaming with Kenny Omega, to aligning with Dark Order and eventually dethroning Omega as AEW World Champion, Hangman Adam Page’s AEW Career has been nothing short of great.
During his run with the company, Page has had his own fair share of great merch designs, but it his Bloody Cowboy Club shirt that takes the cake. With a cutesy, cartoon version of Page holding the AEW World Championship, it features drawn blood to match his violent World Championship Reign where he took opponents like Adam Cole & Lance Archer to their limits in Texas Death Matches!
6 Young Bucks – Blink 182 Parody Shirt
The former best friends, turned bitter rivals, and soon-to-be friends again of Hangman Page are up next, with two of AEW’s EVPs getting a shout. Matt & Nick Jackson, known to fans as The Young Bucks, have always dazzled with great merchandise and looks through their career, and since the launch of AEW, that is a trend that has continued.
Dropping during 2022, The Bucks would reveal their own take on the iconic Blink 182 logo, featuring a smiley face with crossed out eyes in their new T-Shirt. It’s a colorful affair that looks more like a band shirt than a wrestling one, which is always a plus. For fans of Blink 182, it can double as a crossover shirt as both a wrestling and band shirt.
5 Kenny Omega – Reborn
Arguably the best wrestler in the world today, Kenny Omega has recently kicked off his 2023 in great fashion. After thrilling fans with two genuine match of the year contenders against Will Ospreay in New Japan and against El Hijo Del Vikingo in a Dream Match on AEW Dynamite, Omega is looking to have another career-defining year.
Looking to one of his more recent merch releases in AEW, the company dropped a great Reborn shirt variant with Japanese lettering, the Omega logo, and a shadow of The Best Bout Machine himself. It’s sleek, it’s simple, and it is a great design for one of the greatest pro wrestlers alive.
4 Best Friends – Tye Dye
One of the more fun groups in pro wrestling, Best Friends have been a staple of AEW since the company launched in May 2019. Featuring Chuck Taylor & Trent as the tag team, the group would grow to include Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy, as well as Danhausen later on. This Tye Dye shirt featuring cartoony versions of the faction is a perfect representation of the group itself, and similar to the Starks shirt, it is one that can easily be worn outside of a pro-wrestling setting as an everyday T-Shirt design.
3 FTR – Fight Like An 8-Year-Old Girl
Despite FTR and The Briscoes never being able to properly feud on AEW TV due to Warner blocking Jay and Mark Briscoe from appearing on the product, the four men would have one of the best feuds of 2022 due to their incredible matches in Ring of Honor. Ahead of the second battle between the men, FTR would cut an passionate promo.
During said promo, Dax would tell the story of his daughter who went through her own battle with heart issues, overcoming them on her own road to recovery. In doing so, FTR & AEW would release an iconic Fight Like An 8 Year Old Girl T-Shirt with the profits going to The American Heart Association. Not only was it a great shirt with a great story behind it, but it would also go to a great cause.
2 Britt Baker – Rolemodel
While her work in-ring may be polarizing to some, Britt Baker remains arguably the biggest star in the AEW women’s division. Prior to becoming AEW Women’s Champion in 2021, Baker would take part in one of the best women’s matches in the company’s history, with her Lights Out Match against Thunder Rosa.
Stemming from that violent affair, the company would capitalize on the bloody war between Britt Baker & Thunder Rosa, releasing a new shirt for the Rolemodel of AEW, with this bloody Britt Baker shirt showing off the hardcore nature of the match, with one of the most iconic shots in AEW’s short history. While the shirt may not be for everyone, it is a piece of AEW history that warrants a mention.
1 Orange Cassidy – Champion Of Everything In Orange Above
AEW gets Orange Cassidy. Since his arrival in the promotion, he has been an attraction and in recent months, the man has proven to be one of the biggest stars in AEW, and one of the most consistently great wrestlers on the roster. On top of being a great asset to the company as a wrestler, the current AEW International Champion has also had some of the best merch designs across the AEW roster.
Looking to one of his first shirts after becoming AEW All-Atlantic Champion, this Champion of Everything In Orange Above shirt is not only a pretty great T-Shirt design in its own right, but it also fits the character of Orange Cassidy perfectly. With a sketch of the globe, the Atlantic Ocean is colored orange to represent the area of the world that Cassidy was a champion of before the title was renamed into the AEW International Championship.
