NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — One person was injured in a house fire in Norwich Saturday afternoon, according to the Norwich Fire Department.
At 3:26 p.m., Norwich fire crews arrived at 11 Third St. for reports of a kitchen fire in a single family home. They found fire coming out of the first floor windows of the 1.5 story building.
There was one occupant in the house at the time of the fire. They suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
It took 45 minutes to get the fire under control. The origins of the fire are currently under investigation by the Norwich Fire Marshals’ Office.
